I don't mean to pry...but why did you have the procedure done if you guys want a baby? Was there a health issue? If you don't want to say it's fine, but I'm just confused.

I'm not sure about after and abortion but I know after a D&C they say to wait at least 3 months. I'm sure it's the same if not more than that for an abortion.

I was wondering the same thing as Chroma so I went back and read your story.
I think that you need to think of the reasons you got the abortion in the first place, hun. Give your relationship with your SO some more time to heal. You said you wanted to finish college and save some money. Wait until you finish ALL of the goals you've set for yourself.

I understand that after the loss of your child you just want to fill that void but it's not the smart thing to do.

I would call and ask an actual OB, hun. If I were you, I'd want to wait the longest amount of time to make sure there aren't any interfering issues from the procedure to the new pregnancy, kwim?

I was only giving her advice. She's probably going through a lot emotionally right now.

OP, health wise, you should wait at least a few cycles to let your body heal from the D&C. After that, it's really all up to when you feel emotionally ready to try. No one can give you the right answer for that. I wish you the best.

Um well irst off this is in AS so some kind of respect would be nice instead of judging my situation. The biggest reason was my health and financial situation. Since then I have gotten a full time job, SO and I have gotten closer from the whole experience and are currently working on our relationship every day. I don't see what's wrong with wanting to have a second child soon / early next year. The big health worry turned out to be not so serious and I would be able to carry a pregnancy after all. I did what we thought was the best at the time. Seriously, sue me. I feel guilty enough...
