squirting.. this is annoying.

posted 11th Sep
okay. So, i'm 6 months PP and my breasts still produce breast milk. i don't breast feed, and haven't even tried since i was in the hospital after giving birth. My right breast does it more, but the other one does sometimes too, when i squeeze them they squirt milk. it's so gross. i know squeezing them doesn't help because i know it keeps making them produce but it's the only way to relieve the fullness feeling in them. is it normal for them to still squirt? is there any other way to dry them up besides cabbage leaves?

Some doctors will prescribe you a medication to dry it up... If it stays full and doesn't get released atall you can get a breast infection, so I'd definitely keep an eye on it! Has your doctor not told you anything yet?

i haven't mentioned it to my doctor yet. i haven't been to the doctor in a few months. it's not that they get really full, but once i start feeling like they are starting to feel a little heavier i squeeze them. i don't get like a lot out of them, just a few squirts at a time.

Well i'm not so sure if they aren't "full"... But I know if they're feeling hard like there is a bunch in there you have to worry about the infections. I would try & make an appt if you can, maybe get something to go ahead & dry it up since your body doesn't want to.

Yeah, should be. I mean...I take it every day when I'm suck. The pseudo ephedrine dries up the milk
