6 week old baby smiles and coos...?

when i talk to him and say "mommy loves you" and coos. What does it mean? Does it mean he just knows my voice? happy to see me? can he understand me when i say that?

he can't understand you yet because he doesn't know english, but he recognizes your voice and i'm sure it soothes him, it's just a happy sound : )

Most babies make sounds and smile at that age. They recognize voices and tones.
