newborn wont eat!!!!!

ok so i was just induced yesterday morning.. one week early. well my baby doesnt have any interest in eating. he only drinks maybe 10-15 ml every 3 hours and thats if i fight with him. they keep saying its normal but it just doesnt seem normal to me . he goes to the bathroom fine and doesnt really cry much and is very alert i just really want him to eat and dont know if maybe something is wrong? advice please!!!

babies stomach is about the size of a marble when they are born. Thats not very big. Just feed on demand baby will let you know when they are hungry. As long as they are having plenty of wet diapers no reason to worry.

His tummy is still very tiny right now. As long as he is still getting enough wet/dirty diapers, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

That sounds about right. Newborns stomachs are about a little bigger than the size of a pea or a little bit bigger.

My son was alert and didn't cry much either and he turned out just fine .

Everything everyone else said. Also, since you were induced, he's still working the drugs out of his system. Sounds like he's fine! I know, we worry so much when we're new moms.

yeah i am very worried. ive been working with him and he seems to be doing better so when we go home today im going keep working with him and see what the doctor says in a week. thanks guys!

I'm sure he is fine, momma! Try not to worry so much, and just spend your time cuddling and loving your new addition!

Your LO is eating WAY more than mine did. He only ate about 5 to 7 ML every three hours. The nurses, and doctors said that it was completely fine. Now he is two months, and eats about 4 to 6 OZ
