CS?: Enforcement process

Bd said he recieved some papers from the CS office. I recieved a letter saying "he was served" july 24th. Well in tx they require payments on a texas debit card, I checked my account today and it says they are in the enforcement process. I know that means they are trying to get the money but dont they send letters to the employer to withhold wages or does he have to pay it? My mom said 21 years ago she got a check in the mail but she started getting direct deposit. I think things have changed since then. He doesnt want to go to jail but I dont wanna tell him to mail the money then they take it out his check.

I'm not sure about the time frame. I know in FL it took a year and a half just to get a court date to establish paternity

wooow. We dont have to establish paternity out here unless the father says im not sure thats my kid.

they told me here in VA that it would take a week, maybe 2 to get his wages garnished! that seems crazy that it's taking that long!

Its probably the employer. He is very close to his boss then his boss is an alcoholic. I probably could report that but bd would be better off doing it himself

It takes a long time. It really depends on a case by case basis. If the employer is working with or against them, and if Texas does it electronically or by mail... but I would suspect it to be another month.
