Cesarean Recovery

How long after your cesarean delivery did you start to leave the house? How often did you go up and down stairs?

I was released out of the hospital 2 days after the c-section.
I went to walmart to get a few things I needed. I rode in one of those wheelchair things though.
I started leaving the house again at around 4 days PP. So not long after I got released out of the hospital. I did have to take it VERY easy though, that way I didn't tear my cut back open.

I never did stairs. Not right off anyways.

!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started driving after I got the staples out. Pretty much then is when I felt good enough to start my normal routine. Depends on your body.

I went home two days after my surgery. I walked alot, including walking around Walgreens for almost an hour waiting for my pain med to be filled. Even after I got home I didn't really rest. However, I had a cosmedic surgeon do my c-section so my incision is sewed inside out for less scar visibility. So you might be different than me. I do know the more you move or walk around, the faster you'll heal and the better you'll feel. They were surprised that I had completely stopped taking pain medication within a week of my surgery.

That's awesome about the cosmetic surgeon. I wish I had been able to do that   But yeah, I find that the more I move around the better I begin to feel. I'm off the narcotics, so I think I've made progress lol.
