I hate needles and I did fine.
You won't see anything thats going on and its really the last thing on your mind.
When I got mine I didn't feel a thing. Not a pinch, not a prick, nothing.

the needle that they use for the epidural is literally HUGE ! But . . I waited until my contractions were pretty bad to get it done. So at that point I was in so much pain, that I really did not care anymore about the needle.

I have a needle phobia. Like needles make me pass the smurf out. I ended up needing to be induced with an IV in my arm. I didn't even care, and mind you the biggest thing I was afraid of when I was preggo wasn't the pain it was needing and IV, I can take the pain just not needles! So I did get an epidural and it was fine, I shook the entire time, and couldnt move. I also have lower back pains now from where it was.

Don't get one if you don't need it!

trust me, contractions are much smurffier and a needle. you'll be like "stick me!!" that being said, I don't want an epidural this time but last time i wanted it and couldn't care less about getting stuck with the needle.

You won't even feel it. I am terrified of needles and got it, no problems. The pain totally takes away the fear.

I was in quite a bit of pain when I had mine done...when he came in to do it I told him I don't want you to explain it I don't want to see it just get it done.. he told me to hold very still and then he said stick.. and thats all I remember of that process!

Im not afraid of needles at all and had a HORRIBLE experience with getting the epidural!! I'm not sure if it's because I'm a nursing student and all of the things that could go wrong were running through my head or what!! Lol I also wasnt in too much pain contractions wise when I got it... so maybe thats another reason?

All I know is next time I do not want an epidural

Im terrified of needles and ive had 2 epidurals with my girls...axtually u don't even feel the actual epi needle the numb u 1st so thats the only needle u actual feel and its more of would u rather take the pain of labor or a pin prick if the "numbing needle" i chose the needle...lol
