Well , I know if they are going to take her early, it is because they want you and her to be healthy too. Going full term could be more dangerous than having her early with a C section. There are a lot of woman who deliver healthy babies even into 20 something weeks. So just pray that everything turns out ok. . . and try not to stress out. . that can be hard on you and the baby !

I had an emergency c-section at 37 weeks because I had a placental abruption. I was put under though for the surgery, so I cant say anything about that part. But my recovery was extremely slow. This time Im scheduled for a csection and the doctor said it will be totally different and the recovery will be shorter. The best thing you can do is get up as soon as your able to and start walking. I unfortunately wasn't able to walk right away because of all of my blood loss and I believe thats why my recovery was so horrible. A good friend of mine had a csection because her baby was breech and she was back walking around campus 3 days later and you couldnt even tell she had had a baby! So Im sure every person is different. Good luck with everything. I wish you a speedy recovery!

I had an emergency c-section at 33 weeks. It wasn't as scary as people had made it out to be. I was in the hospital for 4 days (reacted bad to some meds I was given... had nothing to do with the c-section), after that, I didn't take any more pain meds. Just get up as soon as they let you. Walk, walk, walk. Use a pillow on your tummy for getting up. My SO went back to work soon after we come home.. It was just me & the boys & I did it just fine.

I had a cat-1 C=Section but I was put to sleep as we as having every pain relief possible before hand, even a epi.

For me I was up and walking 4 hours afterwards with catheter and drip out and I discharged myself the next day and went home with my LO my recovery wasn't so good I was left with two non-disposable stitches which had to be taken out but I had already gotten an infection so it hurt a lot. It took me about 3-4 weeks without the infection but 6-8 with so it doubled it. However I pushed my body a lot further than I was suppose to.

GL though
