I am going to begin my weightloss journey!

I am currently weighing in at 190lbs 5'2. I need to lose weight. I want to be healthier and feel healthier. I weighed 160lbs before my daughters were born. I gained 30lbs on mirena then i got pregnant with DD2 and i am now 20 months pp and i am still at 190lbs. I am tired of not being able to wear clothes correctly. I need to be healthier. Im not looking to be tiny. Im just looking to be happy with myself and look in the mirror and love what i am looking at.

This is what I am going to do. i want to be able to run a couple 5ks soon.



Run/Walk 4 times a week for 20 minutes
3 times a week for 10 minutes.
Core Strength
Crunches: 25 rest, repeat for total of 100
Crunches with a twist. 10 right 10 left-rest-repeat for 100 total ( work up to this)
Lower back strength: lay on your stomach and lift arms and legs off the ground for 10 seconds-rest-repeat 5x.
Chest and Arm strength
3 times a week for 10 minutes
Pushups: 10 rest-repeat for 30 total.
Bicep curls ( 5-10lb weights) 10 each arm-rest-repeat for 100 total.
Leg Strength
3 times a week for 5 minutes
Squats- 20-rest-repeat 2x
Lunges-20-rest-repeat 2x

So this is where i am at right now.

I did have a c section and of course my stomach does the weird flap thingy.

I eat fairly healthy. I drink only water and unsweet tea. I eat veggies and fruit. Whole grain everything. Mainly chicken and fish. Im not a sweet eater. I just dont eat enough i think for my metabolism to work correctly. I do eat fast food however. But i have really limited that the last couple of months. I try not to go there. Its hard sometimes but i am getting better at it. I am trying to change my lifestyle to be healthier not only for myself but for me.

So I think what ill do is weigh in every week. Starting on sundays. So tomorrow ill take a picture and post it. Ill also take pictures weekly of my progress. I think if i see it in pictures or if others see it it will keep me motivated.

Im also hoping me doing this will motivate my husband to be healthier. he isnt overweight like I am however since being out of the Marine Corps he has let himself go too.

i started couch to 5k a while back and i got all the way to week 6 day3 and i quit because it got so hot here. Now that the weather is finally cooled down i will try again.

Thank you! I need something. Im tired of just sitting at home and not doing anything for myself. i always put DH and my girls first. I realized i need this to be happier in my marriage and as a mom.

I understand. It is always important to do something good for yourself. We all deserve to be happy with ourselves!

I tried WW and i couldnt do it. So maybe i should retry it soon. congrats on the weightloss. I would be over the moon if i lost 38lbs. I would be under my pre preg weight. I want to get to 160 first if i lose more awesome. if not and i am just in great shape and health awesome too!

Good for you! I take photos to track my progress too. It's very motivating. I still have 40lbs to go.

i signed up for my first 5k!! its in about 2 months so i have a while to get in shape for it. its an all womens one! http://www.grittygoddess.com/gritty/index.html

This way since i already pay for it, i need to be in shape and not back out!! I am super excited.

I ran this morning pretty far actually. I ran about a mile or so and ran 90% of the way. Which i am really proud of considering the last time i ran was a couple months ago! I am super sore though. My whole body hurts. Tomorrow I am going to go walk 3 miles!!

Thank you! I wish I felt as great as people say I look. I guess this is why I take the photos. I still feel fat as hell.

I started off at 191 after my second son was born.
i am now 170.   YAY. LOL>

You can do it, just *remember* that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 20% exersice!

So if you are unable to get a workout in one day, do not be too hard on yourself.
Just eat healthy, watch portions && remember that just because the scale isnt changing on a regular basis doesnt mean that your body isnt losing inches. I went for a long stretches at a time being the same weight.   and then all of a sudden my body would dron 5/6 pounds at a time!!

good job! i will be doing this shortly too!! i need to get my work outs and meals for me &family together. im sick of being out of shape ugh my butts isnt the best i want my ass & flat tummy back!!

Alright, so i am weighing the same but my DH is saying he sees a difference! Im uploading pictures right now! Since i started i have done about 19 miles and a bunch of other workouts in between. However i think im going to start the 30 day shred!

sorry the pictures on the right are so dark. but do ya'll see a difference?
