Age question..

Okay so, Lynnea is 25wks and 3days..
This may be a silly question but It's on my mind..

How would I count her age? xD
Do I start by today when she was born?
But then she would be younger than her birthday says..

It's all so confusing... =___=

Count from the day she was born. That is the day of her birth. You can do something special on her actual due date.

this is off topic, but how much did your little girl weigh when she was born? i'm high risk, and i have made it to 32 weeks...

my son was born @ 25 weeks also and that is the only birthday he has ever had... I think it would be weird if u had the birthday on her due date when hardly anyone actually has their baby on the due date... but I did refer to his age as being behind 3 months till he was about 1 or so years old...

You're welcome. My mom had my little sister around the same time and we just went by that day. Always have done something for the original due date though.

My goal was 30wks.. but she's impatient.. I blame the fullmoon.. xD

She was 1lbs and 7oz.

I am 32 weeks and yesterday i had an u/s and he measured 4 lbs 4 oz so your's is probably right around there also  

Yeah..the actual birth day is what you should go by.

i had an u/s yesterday, too, but i forgot to ask about the weight because we were worried about amneotic fluid and my contractions. i spent the night in L&D last night (again...)

Wow! Congrats on your newborn baby and she`ll be in my prayers!! I looked at your profile and saw that she was born 1lb and 7oz! That`s crazy, she must be able to fit in your palm!! I`m happy she`s doing okay and their are no concerns so far....hope everything stays that way. Congratulations!!! I also think you should go by her date of birth... no matter how tiny she is, she would still be a year old on her one year birthday!

Maybe not. There are preemie babies that are sometimes bigger than a full term baby at a yr. old. Seriously...my cousin has a big ol boy for being a preemie. He's 2 now and you'd never know he spent half of his 1st yr. in the NICU!!

i cant believe how calm you are! You had your baby today, and you seem so chill. i respect that. My son wasnt premature and i was still like a blubbering wreck for weeks after his birth.

How are you holding up, really? I cant imagine the stress you're under.
