When my son was in the NICU, we put a dollar bill next to him and took a pic. You should do it. He was a little longer than the dollar, it wsa crazy to compare. Then you can show her later how tiny she was.

Is it weird that I am on here after the birth? I noticed a few people don' t get back on for awhile... I'm not tired or in pain either..

I don't know about a dollar, but Tre' was 12 1/2 inch. and 2 lbs 5oz.

They are almost the same size!
How old was he when he was born?

I was waiting on a response in my watched topics so I can correct the weight. He was 2 lbs .05 oz. not 5oz.
I had him at 25.5 weeks.

Congrats on your sweet little girl! Always go by her real birthday, she deserves that! And yes, she'll probably be a small 1 year old, but she'll be a year old just the same! It's good that you're starting out strong. It makes it so much harder if you're a wreck from the start. Well, at least it did for me. I was a wreck with my daughter at first, so it took me longer to pull myself together. With my son I didn't cry until he failed his car seat test....which I guess was a dumb thing to cry over, but it just all built up! Anyways, sorry for the ramble. Congratulations again on your little one and I'm sure we'd all be happy to help you if you ever have questions or need support!

As a side note, I know 25 weeker twins who just had their first birthday, and they are doing GREAT!

I too am amazed at how calm and collected you are. I was a damn mess.... I had Paige in the morning and was on a Morphine drip all day long... if I would have went online that day who knows what kind of crazy stuff I would have been spouting under the influence of all that pain, drugs and stress LOL. Paige was born at 8:56am and I didn'tstep footout of the hospital bed until 10:00pm!
