serving sizes

How many of you actually follow?

I think I am gonna start followering them and see if I see any difference. I usually probably have 3-4 servings at a time

I do. But I'm diabetic....so that doesn't count. It's not all that hard though.

I never follow them.
If it says serves 4 it barely serves me and my hubby.

I dont, but I really should. I know my biggest problem is portion control. Well, lack thereof. There are many many times when I continue eating just to finish when I am really no longer hungry.

Portion control is my biggest problem too. I make up food and see how much there is and think I have to eat all of it.

Portion control is everyone's problem! lol Especially in my house! lol

I have noticed if I drink 2 big glasses of water (prior to pregnancy) before my meal I will eat less because I am full.

Now being pregnant, I figure I will worry about it after the girls are here.

I have heard about the water before meals.

That is another thing...I am gonna start drinking a lot more water. I drink a lot of pop...which in the end makes you all bloated =[

Oh yeah. I try my best not to drink pop much these days. It makes me so very bloated.

Yes, exactly.

I blame this on my husband. Lol. He has always been a very big eater. I was never like this until I met him. We need to work on this as a household!

Yes, I watch my portion sizes... religiously! I weigh practically all my food as well. It helps alot, and I notice that I'm really not all that hungry for a larger portion if I only give myself what I should be eating. I also drink alot of water with my meals and througout the day. Since January I think I've lost close to 30lbs just watching portions and exercising 3x's a week.

I need to start doing that more often! The other day I was looking at serving sizes and realized that I never follow them

I've just started following the serving size guideline, I'm counting calories and it's the only way I can keep track. Drink water before and during your meal. Eat slowly and concentrate on your food. Don't watch TV or anything. It will help you to feel satisfied and fuller.

You will see a HUGE differnece. It is amazing how many servings are in one meal.
After my son is born I will be measuring out eaxctly 1 serving for my meals. You will eventually start getting "satisfied" on what you provide yourself. .
