Oh goodness, I've heard of schools being ridiculous about stuff like that though. The teachers are given more students than they should have, and when one child isn't "perfect" they freak out and can't handle it.
Do you have an Montessori schools in your area? The classroom sizes are a lot smaller and moms that I know with autistic children tell me their children blossom in montessori schools.

I'm not sure. A friend of mine has a son with autism, he's 9. Last school year was really bad for him and they asked his parents to enroll him in another school that could "cater his needs" in a better manner.

Sorry mama

Don't they have someone that can work with him one on one? That seems very extreme to threaten kicking him out after one bad day.

yeah they know they have all of his stuff and he is in a special class and she called me toady at 3pm and told me that he is really close to being kicked out of school because he was so bad and stuff but they didn't call me when he started being "bad" so i could pick him up. the other two days went really good.

They CANNOT kick your son out for mildly misbehaving. Have they tried developing a behavioral plan with lots of positive reinforcement to prevent meltdowns from happening? Is he assigned an aide throughout the day to assist him? I am so sorry you going through this. I would have it his IEP for an aide to assist him throughout the day. The school can't deny him an aide.

Especially with no behavioral plan they have no way to show proper steps were taken to prevent or control an episode. I would for sure get it written in his IEP to have an aide with him. If he is mainstreamed it would help greatly because most regular ed teachers aren't properly trained in how to work with kids with disabilities.
