I've seen some ladies on here talking about dialating weeks before their due date and staying that way for a while. My question is - are you allowed to have sex while dialated?? Could it cause infections?

you are allowed to have sex until your water breaks....dialated or not.

im not dialted yet and im 37 weeks (38 on friday) and my doc told me to have sex as it may help labour.

There's no risk of infection unless your water has broken. Go for it!
