DH is only 2yrs and 8 months older than me and they still wanted to charge him with statutory rape, but my mom wouldn't agree. Just be careful if the cops find out he's living with you, the both of you can get in trouble and he'll have to move out. We had to deal with that and the only way they'd close the case was when we sent them a copy of our marriage certificate.

Nope well at least not here. I know someone who is 17 nd pregnant and getting foodstamps.

Of course you wish your Mom would help out more, those emotions are totally normal. But the fact of the matter is that she does not owe you money or time or anything really in regards to your child. I am not saying that her spending her money on her BF is right, but it is HER right. So I would treat this as a wake up call and realize that you are on your own. Make sure that you have everything set up with government aid agencies, go to second hand shops for the baby needs, and make sure you have a list of just the MUST haves. Search craigslist as well.

I feel for you, and I hate that you have to deal with this, but unfortunately it is time to buck up, buttercup.
