sick?

I have a chest cold right now and my newborn I think isn't feeling well. Ill feed him regular and he fall asleep for an hour then wake up throwing up. Its not a lot bit how can I help settle his stomach? He is only a week old and has a Dr appointment on the 11. I've taken his temp and its stands at 79.1 please help give me advice to try that will help my little man feel better I greatly appreciate it.

You might want to call your pediatrician and get an appointment with the nurse practitioner

Do you mean 97.1? And is that rectally or under the arm?

All I have is a ear thermometer for him and yes 97.1.

I have a bad cold right now too and my son seems a little congested. He has no fever and is eating fine/wetting diapers. Unless the baby is in distress or has a fever I wouldn't worry too much.

Is there any other signs to watch for besides a fever

Very fussy, running/stuffy nose, cough, etc.

He's very fussy. But beside throwing up that's it.

Possible reflux? When you say "throwing up" is he really vomiting or spitting up?

It isn't just spit up he has it coming out his nose also and he poops wgmhen he's throwing up.
