re: abortion laws in uk should they change?

Quoting EmmaGrace:“ I still can't make up my mind completely on this issue. While I don't want to see any woman's rights ... [snip!] ... any woman's rights restricted or taken away, I can't convince myself that a late abortion is any different than infanticide.”

I understand the sentiment. I can't say I approve of women doing it, either. But, as far as I'm concerned, these are women who are going to do it either way. I'm not so much concerned about the legality, but of there being a safe place for these women to terminate if they're determined to. They will do it, even if they can't do it legally. And that just opens the door to home abortions, women dying from hemorrhaging, babies being born prematurely in a bathroom due to a botched abortion attempt, etc. This seems, honestly, more humane for any of these babies that are going to be terminated one way or the other.

If I believed in Abortion, which I dont, If you can't decide by the seventh week then you shouldn't be allowed unless of dire cercimstances. Say the baby is doomed to die a sufferable death upon birth as some of these ladies here had to go through with their babies...

Then again, if abortion was illegal more women would die doing the illegal form than the lives it would save...

Abortion topicsare a no win situation.

Quoting God:“ So what about people who genuinely don't find out until later? Or people who have genuine medical complications later into pregnancy? Are they SOL because their body has failed them? C.”
In thesesituations it should be permitted. If a pregnancy puts a woman's life at risk she should ALWAYS have the option to abort.
