Pre-Pike or Pike?

Swim lessons start satruday. I have the choice of putting Cora into either Pre-Pike or Pike
Pre-Pike is for ages 2-5. Instructors focus on training for parents on when to use floatation devices, and how to teach the back stroke, side stroke, and front stroke. Parent is IN THE POOL
Pike is for ages 3-5. Instructors focus on getting swimmers acclimated to the water, how to balance in the water with a floatation device, and how to manuver through the water with a barbell. Parents are NOT in the pool
Cora doesn't do well with water on her face. And She refuses to go into the water without a lifejacket on.
However, she does better for other people than she does for me.
She loves to go swimming and, with a life jacket on, she is actually rather graceful in the water.
She is currently being tested for Asbergers. So her 'quirks' will come into play as well.
Which one would you pick for your child with sensory issues?
