I just want to CRY!!!!! (venting)

So as of right now I am depending solely on government assistance to take care of my son and myself (welfare, and SSI). I would love to get a job but because of the short schedule I'm on there arent really any jobs that want people around the times i am available!
I hate that I have to depend on this right now! Luckily I save up most of it just in case I do go broke.

My son is only in school for 4 hrs a day 8:30-1pm Due to his autism program and that's pretty much my time frame. I have NO sitter so I can work while he's at home, and there aren't Alot of night time positions available.

This is just so frustrating, I feel lazy!

Sadly, this is a rut many single parents run into. Luckily, I have a m-f job. I hope you can find something soon. best wishes.

California's CALWORKS program helps you get a job or go to school, as well as pay for childcare while you are working. Sounds like you would be a good candidate.

But because of my sons autism and the fact that there are so little daycares in the area that have programs for special needs children makes it hard for me to really find somewhere to go once he is out of school. I wish it was that simple.

The class he is in at school is strictly an autism classroom. All the children in his class are Autistic. I want him to stick to a program and he needs a schedule. It's kind of hard to find somewhere that has a schedule that works around his after school therapy as well.

What about a bar or club? If you want to work nights those are great jobs and they pay awesome if you aren't shy (tips).

Or look into babysitting...

I thought about that as well I've been going back and forth with myself on getting my bar tending license just to have under my belt

I think you should totally do it. I was a bartender for awhile and only made tips (I was helping out a friend) and made more than I make teaching!! Just don't be shy!
