single teenage mom

im 18, and my baby is due october 3 rd... but me nd her father arent together anymore because, after i got pregnant he changed ALOT and started doing alot of negative things.. :/ now he isnt going to be in her life, and im scared.. i dont know how to be a good mom,   and i cant fill a father figure's shoes... and to make it worse, when people talk to me, they always make me feel like im a whore or something, because when they ask about the father i just say ''he's not around''... and i dont really get the best of looks   im so stressed.. idk what to do..

You just have to ignore what everyone else thinks. It's a cruel world we live in, but hey, it's never going to change. People are going to think and say whatever they want. Just think about yourself and do what's best for you and your child. That's all you can do.

Tell them to blow it out their ass. People are so judgemental!

you will be ok   as for the mothering thing it comes natrual it did for me anyways i was 15 with my first son and he never had a father let me tell you its tough but posssible just ignore people and keep your head up thats silly people think your a whore cus theres not a dad around

to their face, i dont let it show that it bothers me... but at the end of the day, when im in my room all alone, and she starts moving around bein her little happy angelic self it just gets to me.. :'( i hate that my baby girl doesnt have a dad.. and i feel like its my fault... i want her to have a good life, i want her to always be happy and safe.. :'( my entire life i just wanted a happy family with both parents around... and i managed to mess that up :/

you're still very young, you will meet a much better man who would love to be a father to your daughter. don't stress too much about it & enjoy being single. It has its perks... lol

your probably right... i just hope everything is together before she can walk and talk.. and ask ''mommy, where is my daddy?'' .. i fear that day.

As a woman who's BD left and never met his daughter, I can just say that you ignore all the people who want to look down on you. It's not your fault your BD turned out negative. You're doing the best thing for your child by not having him around. You are being a good mom.
It's hard to be both mother and father, but it's so worth it in the end. You get twice the love and affection. You will be your child's entire world.

Please don't be so hard on yourself and let others bring you down -- I encourage you to keep your head up and focus on yourself and your daughter. thank you ... im going to try my best to be a good mother. the best mom <3 but i know there are going to be hard spots.. and im not to sure of how i'll get through them.. and thank you for the links, i will deffinatly check those out  

i understand a whole bunch of what your going threw . my sons father just went to prison for 3 years. and everyday i ask my self how am i suppose to be a mom and dad to my son, but i think about it and realize my mom did it so why cant i  . and dont worry about what others have to say. your not your mistake and life goes on.
