so, im a senior in high school and im 18 in 4 days. my fiance of 2 years and i have decided we would like to start a family. yes, i know we are crazy but its what we want and i was wondering if any of you are like me or if it was strictly a surprise.

A surprise. I would never plan a pregnancy at age 18. Its stupid IMO. Go live your life and get yourself established first.

No we didn't plan it. I was 20 & he was 21 when I got pregnant. I love DS more than anything and I wouldn't trade him for the world, but I wish I hadn't gotten pregnant so early. I wanted to finish school and have a stable career before having a child.

Or First child took 7 months to TTC.

Our 2nd chemical pregnancy was a "See what happens Planned-unplanned" pregnancy
Our 3rd pregnancy and miscarraige was planned.

Our next, if we choose to try again, will probably be a "let whatever happens happen"

ETA: I was 18 when we started TTC DD. DH was 22.

well yes people plan their kids all the time...

i wouldnt do it at 18 though.

I wouldn't call it a surprise more like a bitch slap to the face. lol

This is in teen pregnancy, so i guess yes i technically planned mine at 19, but got pregnant a week before my 20th bday. DH and i were engaged at the time, and he was 27. He also had a career, and neither of us were in high school. I however was and am in college.

I was 18 when I got prego with my first. We both wanted it then. But now, I can tell u that was one of the dumbest choices I've ever made. Of course I love my daughter but her dad and I didn't work out. I was sooooo young. Just sucks, a lot of things woul b different had I waited a few more years. Oh well, sounds like ur pretty far along, not much u can do about it now.

I got pregnant at 19. I do not recommend it.

Why not wait?

Thought u said u were 18 weeks, disregard last sentence. If ur not pregnant yet, don't do it!!! Just wait.

She's not pregnant.

I planned both of mine. But I was 24 nearly 25 with my first and 28 with my second. I dont think I would have ever planned a pregnancy at that age. Looking back now, I'm so so so happy I waited. :-)

I found out i was pregnant just after my 17th birthday. It was no where near planned.

If you are TTC while still in high school you are too immature to parent by default.
