Quoting Kathleen S:“ I'm in the same boat as babytee. In between dr. appt's I gained 9 lbs and then 7 lbs.Because I was overweight ... [snip!] ... cannot deal with anymore criticism from the dr's office, but I too have wondered if it's safe to lose weight while pregnant.”

She was happy the next time I went back and only gained the 3 pounds. But, I have a feeling she's gonna say something this week since I've put some on in the last two weeks. But, i feel great! I have no health issues, I'm not even having much back pain. As long as you feel okay and are still healthy, I think it's fine. As someone told me the other day, "ahhh....your weight is fine! You'll just have to work hard after the baby to get it off." Which is FINE with me! I lose weight very easily, so I'm not worried.
Quoting Ms.Barbie Girl;;:“ okay so this has been bothering me a lot lately...my original doctor quit not too long ago so they had ... [snip!] ... know if its a problem im just sorta kinda venting and getting it all out of my head cause its really bothering me lol....”I had a really bad experience with my last doctor and I ended up switching to a different one at 30 weeks. She told me to go to Weight Watcher's and I'd only gained 20 lbs at the time! I dont think ANYONE should tell a pregnant lady to lose weight. You gain it for a good reason, to nourish your baby's growing body. Of course everyone who is pregnant should be eating right so their baby can get the best foods, and exercising to stay healthy: but trying to lose weight is out of the question.
Quoting no longer empty arms:“ There is no max. You are going to continue to gain weight as your baby grows. They just don't want ... [snip!] ... you feel the need. Don't run take a walk around the neighborhood or something. Just do not diet or "work out" to lose weight.”
