yo baby

posted 30th Aug
So do u know the yogurt called yo baby? It says babies 6 months and plus can have it. I noticed it has dairy in it though, I didn't think 6month olds could have dairy yet? Would u give ur 6month old yo baby or have/do you?

Lots of baby snacks have dairy like Gerber waffle wheels, and the puffs too.
But yes I let DD have it when she was 6 months.

Yogurt is the only dairy product recommended for babies before 1 year. The active bacteria breaks down the lactose making it easier to digest.

Yep. I give regular yogurt to DS. I asked his Dr. about it at his 4 month check up and he said I could give it to him then (he was actually almost 5 months) but I waited another month. He absolutely loves it!

stick to flavors he has eaten already. or try the same flavor for a few days to make sure no allergies. i would just get a big thing of plain yogurt and put a little in a bowl. thats the cheapest i can think. we did the baby yogurts though. he loved them. and they dont have to be refrigerated. idk if you have given him cold food before but sometimes they freak lol but with him teething he might like that

I was just reading about yogurt and babies, and it said that it was ok cause the way the dairy is broken down in the yogurt, its different then straight up dairy.

My lo is 7 months and been having yogurt since 5 months old, and no issues at all.
