Dealing With SOOOO Much On Top Of A Miscarriage... (A major

It's a long story so I'm going to be brief.

We started TTC in May when I got my IUD out. Everything was going great, our relationship was going wonderfully, my daughter was working on potty training, we had our house all set up, he had a great job in the Air Force and I was doing pretty well with my at home craft business.

I ovulated 7/18 and we BDed all week. 7/23 my hubby found out his supervisor put paperwork in for a discharge. This blew us out of the water, it was so unexpected. He had gotten in a bit of trouble but did his punishment, was put on probation, but if he kept out of trouble nothing else would come of it. He got his act together and stayed clean. The paper work went to the commander 7/25.

That morning I got a few faint positive tests but a few days later I started spotting, then full on bleeding. I was going to set up an appointment to see my doctor Monday for the positive tests... but Monday he got word that not only was he discharged but we had to be out by 8/1 (two days later). We were floored. He found out that it wasn't enough time for the movers to come. So we quoted a moving van but it'd have been $1200 to go his parent's house... We got a storage unit but the only one we could get was small... we had to get rid of half our stuff.

We packed up our car and went to a hotel on base. And wouldn't you know it, while moving our stuff to the unit, our brakes went out. We got an extension to 8/3 but that morning we were literally escorted off base, thus kicked out of the hotel. We had no where to go... we finally found a place to fix our brakes. After that we said good bye to a few of our friends and got on the road for Louisiana (from North Carolina). It took us almost 3 days to get there.

We were totally broke from the move so I didn't get to the doctors. My husband got another job but he won't be paid until 9/10. Oh, and to top it off, our whole brake line went out on us so my car is broke down again...

I feel like I lost sooo much... my security, my stuff, my friends, my family (my family is in PA), as well as my baby... I'm heart broken.

Anyway, I have a few questions. I just had a period. I haven't been sick and I was early so I assume I haven't retained anything. If I went to a doctor now, would they be able to tell me why I miscarried. Could they tell that I had? I have pictures of the positive tests but I didn't get a chance to go in to prove the pregnancy. This is my third miscarriage so I was hoping they could test me before we start TTC again (after we get our living situation straight again obviously)... Was it very bad that I didn't get seen by a doctor or should I go to the ER or get a doctor appointment for tomorrow? Everything is a bit crazy here in Lafayette because of the hurricane. I reallllly don't want to ask my MIL to take me, I don't want to talk about it with anyone besides my husband (and ya'll).

No one would be able to tell you why you miscarried, unfortunately. It is possible sometimes to have the fetal tissue tested for chromosomal abnormalities but you would have to have sent tissue off for that to be done and from what you said I don't think you were far enough along. Ordinarily after three miscarriages doctors are willing to do an RPL panel (repeat pregnancy loss) which is a panel of blood tests to try and find the cause for recurrent miscarriages. I hope you get some answers and things start to get a bit easier for you. Sounds like you've been through a lot. *hugs*

No, I figured they couldn't tell me... but I just want to make sure I'm ok... Like, I don't have to worry about going to the doctor right away since I bleed from 7-28 to 8-5, had no fever, or any sick feeling... then had a period 8-24 to 8-28. Can it wait until I get my car fixed so I can go on my own?

As long as you're able to get a negative pregnancy test you can feel pretty confident that everything passed just fine on its own. I wouldn't worry about being seen for that unless you start having a lot of pain or fever.

Thanks. Yeah I took a pregnancy test just before this last period started and it was negative. I'm going to go soon, just not a top priority right now.
