thrush is a yeast that forms in the mouth. A lot of times it occurrs with a baby is given a bottle or pacifier that isn't sterilized. Your pediatrician can give you a liquid to swob baby's mouth to get rid of it.

It's a yeast infection in the mouth and throat. It makes it hard to swallow. Supposedly you can tell if it's thrush and not just formula or milk if you can't wipe it off with a cloth. It will look like little white spots all in the mouth. It can get pretty painful if left unattended.

babies actually most commonly get it because of increased hormones given off by the mother before birth ergo increase in yeast production... or if the mother was on antibiotics during her pregnancy or if the baby is on them... majority of babies dont notice it but it can get uncomfortable and even painful if left untreated... Aidan had it a few weeks ago and I looked up everything I could on it...

I also want to add that if you're breastfeeding you can get it on your nipples. I know first hand that it is EXTREMLY painful and hard to get rid of once you both have it.
