posted 30th Aug
DD has had diarrhea for 4 days now and it's insane disgusting diarrhea not just the normal kind.
She has smurf all over her clothes 3 times JUST today and it's only 9:47am not to mention she pooped on her sheets this morning :/
It's like every time I turn around im changing smurffy diapers, giving her a bath, doing laundry.
please someone tell me there is a way to make it stop?
Or atleast a way so that it's not an explosion EVERY SINGLE TIME
It's making me crazy.

How old is she? I would be taking her to the pediatrician. Diarrhea can dehydrate an infant very quickly.

Is she on solids yet? The BRAT diet works..bread,rice,apple,toast

How old is she? Is she formula fed or do you breast feed? Does she have any other symptoms (blood in stool, in pain?) and have you talked to your doc about possible food allergies/sensitivities to milk or soy?

How old is she? I would be taking her to the pediatrician ASAP.
My kids both pooped through on a daily basis with normal newb poop.

She had a stomach virus with vomiting and diarrhea and the vomiting stopped after medication but the diarrhea hasn't stopped.
She was on a clear fluid diet for 12 hours but that's all the Doctor recommend.

I forgot to add to the OP that she had a stomach virus Monday and the popping has lasted from that.

I would bring her to hospital because they can get dehydrated very quickly. I would know because I brought my daughter to hospital because she had nonstop diaherra and the hospital said thank god i did because he hydration was so low she could have had a seizure or die etc.

OK, if she had/has a virus there really is nothing you can do other than ensuring she is getting enough fluids. If you have to use an oral syringe to give her fluids then so be it.
Yes the pooping is nasty and an inconvenience but she's sick Monitor her pee diapers as well as any lethargy. I'd call the Pedi and let them know what her progress is.
Poor baby

She Is eating Normal and she is drinking pedialyte along with about 20-25ozs of formula.
She is having wet diapers and she is alert and Playing like Normal as well.
The only thing is her soft spot is a little Lower than Normal.
But her mouth is full and wet and her skin doesn't stay up if you pinch it.

She was being dramatic in this instance
I know it's hard. My Son was "sick" for 6 weeks. I was sure that I was dying a slow death.
Keep your head up

Thank you she hasn't pooped In like 30 minutes and she's peed in her diaper so that's good
