born with a CATARACT! *pic*

anyone else born with a cataract?

my son has one in each eye, very very tiny, much smaller than mine. And they don't affect his vision at all.

took this photo tonight, and my cataract nearly pops out at you. haha. the white dot in the middle of my pupil.  

I don't, but it looks really cool  

No, but my Dad had them all over his eyes and it was interfering with his vision so he had it removed.

That is crazy. I'm glad it isn't a concern or affect your vision.

well, I am blind in that eye, but it's not because of the cataract... apparently it's because that eye is 'underdeveloped' probably because my smurffy eye doctor growing up made me wear a pirate patch forever and it didn't have a chance to develop.

I just recently got to stop wearing the pirate patch, but am still not back in contacts. i'm guessing it's healed by now but i have an appointment in a couple weeks.

I kept getting people telling me i could really "pull it off" and i didn't know if that was good...or bad, hahah

and i know, i'm determined to be able to wear 'em again though.

Oh, oops, I misread your OP. I'm sorry.  

My SO was born with a cataract. They did surgery when he was a baby and stuffed it up by cutting into his pupil, so his pupil takes over most of the iris in his eye. He's legally blind in that eye now but he can still see light and blurs of things.

I still think it's weird that we both lived in MI.
Both born in November.
Both our babies were born in November.
And we are both blind in the same eye because of amblyopia.

i have it in my right eye, i never new what it was but it doesnt effect my vision either im glad!
