labor tips?

this will be my first and i want to do an all natural birth no drugs (wish me luck) any tips on pain control? ..... also im terrified giving birth!

Ive had two natural births, i used visualisation, concentrated on my breathing and didnt worry or over think things. Worked for me.

laugh during contractions. I laughed about how bad they sucked and felt better laughing produces happy chemicals.

Im going to try hypnobirthing. Look into it!

Make sure it's really quiet in the room

I had my daughter all natural and breathing worked for me & playing with my hair lol weird I know but it was something that I couldn't stop doing throughout my pregnancy and it worked with me during labor too.

Good Luck mama! I'm gonna try natural too! Given everything goes as planned. I'm willing to even go 3 weeks overdue just to avoid being induced. I've heard of hypno... But that sounds weird. I'm just planning on squeezing DH's hand really tight and breathing.... This is my first so I don't know how much pain there will actually be. But I'm good with pain, but all bets are off during labor. My mom did it 4 times all natural, but we'll see. Good luck!

definitely work on your breathing technique and make sure your birthing partner is good at back rubs - i had all my contractions in my back so had my mum rubbing it, all you could hear from my room was "harder, do it harder" but it worked a treat lol

I basically didn't talk to anyone and just tried to stay peaceful. I zoned everrrryyything out and concentrated on my breathing. the only time I got mad was when my SO told me my breath stunk lol. I gritted my teeth and said "DON'T tell me that when Im in labor!!" hahah

I loved these, I hope you give them a chance and read them too.   They're not all "hippie" like they may start to sound, it's just that they teach you to understand that women were made to birth babies. There's amazing stories and the hard facts to make you really aware of what childbirth is.
