broken leg

ok so i just have to vent i guess. 3 weeks ago my son was at day care. i get a phone call from the daycare saying that someone fell on my son and now his leg hurts. (they never said he was crying or in pain) i asked if it was hurting him. they said he jsut fell asleep for nap time. i told them to call me in a couple hours. ....5 hours later they call me and say he is in pain and can not walk. so i tell my husband to go get him. my son fell asleep again. so we never got to see how bad his leg was or anything because my son also has phonoma, so he was sleeping alot. the next day i bring him back to daycare just so my husband can go get him because im running extreamly late to work. so aiden was there for 10 minutes tops. the teachers, the staff didnt say not one word to me not one word to my son, nothing. so when my husband got there to get aiden, he got all his stuff too, we pulled him out of daycare.
so we went to te doctor the same day and he had a broken femur. if u dont know what the femur bone is its the bone in ur upper thigh. (its one of the strongest bones in ur body) so since it was so high, they had to put 1/2 a body cast on him. (just a cut out for his diaper). it was the worst 3 weeks ever. but today they cut the cast off. but he cant walk. he has no balance anymore, and the doctors said he will walk with a limp for 3 months. mind u my son is only 17 months old.

there is more detail about the bad daycare and the evadance of the leg being broken by the little girl that fell on him(we have not seen the tape) and how the daycare has treated my son. and yes they are paying the doctor bills but we are prolly going to court over this. the daycare is going down!!

Hope he feels better! I understand how you feel though because i would feel the same way.

im very pissed. but the lawyer i tried to go to wont take the case. CPS as even come to my house to see if i broke his leg. the daycare is trying to turn it around on me.

This happend to my sister inlaw she had to call the county lawyer to get someone to take her case it was a whole big thing. her dau was 9 weeks old and the day care lady steped on her arm and broke it they had it on tape also.

thats what I call some major bs! When I had my kids in daycare my 7 yr old who was only 4 months at that time had an accident and they didn't call me what happened was the worker changed him on the floor and when she stood him up to pull his pants up he fell face forward knocking his nose on the floor, causing it to bleed. I was so pissed I walked in there to the worker and threatened her with every inch of her life then went to the director and told them I wanted my 300 back for the week cause my kids are never going back to that hell hole she ran. A few months later the day care was shut down the director left her own kid in the car in hundred degree weather sad to say the kid didn't make it. IMO I think you should take their asses for all its worth!

i asked for my money back ($215 a week for the whole time he was in daycare) and they said no. so tey did agree to pay the med bills( they have to because it happened on there grounds)

I am so sorry to hear that, I feel so bad for your baby. I hear so many horror about daycares. I'm so blessed that I can be a stay at home mom with my two, almost three children. I also watch two other children and I'm currently looking in to getting my daycare licence so that I can do daycare at my home. I've worked in 3 daycares and I just don't agree with the way they do things and handle situations. That is what makes me want to have my own daycare even more. Again I'm so sorry this happend to you and your family.

OMG i would have flipped out on the daycare!!!
