Preemie born at 37w4d

in nicu right now. =(

Awe -hugs momma- Whats wrong with him if you dont mind my asking mine was 37 weeks and 3 days or 34 weeks and 6 days its up for debate depending on who you ask and he was in NICU for 2.5 weeks

baby was born at 3lbs. treating him as a preemie because docs think my OB severely over estimated gestational age. they dont know how though because its an exact science usually

That's not a preemie but I'm sorry you're going through this my oldest did nicu time it's terrible

came out not breathing at all...and oxygen levels keep dropping

It is to me at least going home every night with out my baby was heartbreaking and made me cry...my SO would just go he'll be home just have to figure out what wrong with him but it still was soo hard so im sorry you have to go through all that momma i dont think anyone should have to go through that terrible feeling just remember its the best place for them to get what they need right now

it is! because if they did an ultrasound before inducing me they probably would have seen measurments were off. but instead when my water broke they just induced me with pitocen going by my dates. but the frustrating part is it could have been prevented had they done an ultrasound they probably wouldnt have induced

Thats what happen with mine He ended up having Laryngomalacia cause then when he cried he sounded like a mouse

If your water broke they may not have been able to hold you off very long I was born at 32 weeks cause my moms water broke and they were only able to hold me off a week before the risk of infection became to high

It's frusterating. Now that he is in the nicu be very in the know with his care. Make sure they tell you every medication and what it does before they give it, ask tons of questions; don't worry about annoying them. You're advocating for him.

you say preemie like you're proud or something. 37 weeks is NOT a preemie. sorry nice try. and after 36 weeks babies that are born and need help go to pediatrics not NICU.

Oops didnt mean to actually quote in that one sorry have had about an hr and a half of sleep my boys are being brats today
