I have read kids with ADD tend to act out more than most teens. I have been diagnosed with ADD since I was in 5th grade. I always took my medicine though because I knew it helped me in school, I just didn't take it on the weekends because I didn't like the way it made me feel. I honestly think I did act out a bit more when I was not on the ADD meds. Is there a reason he doesn't want to take his meds? Is it maybe because he doesn't like the way it makes him feel?

He is so used to them, I think they just aren't strong enough maybe? He still acts out if he does take the medication. With school starting soon, he needs to take them.

Have they upped his dosage? I know I need to up the dosage or switch every so often because I build up a tolerance to them.

Sadly, we have tried that plenty of times. So, I'm not sure what to do. In my opinion, he needs a good ass whooping.

That won't fix anything, only make him rebel more.

Yeah... I highly doubt that... If he has Adhd, then there is also in another disorder with it... I would suggest your mom take him for a second opinion.

I have ADD but I am not bipolar.

Problem with that is, he has had second opinions, third opinions, and others after that.
