single mom in need of advice

Just yesterday my sons dad said he wants nothing to do with him and that the baby doesn't exist to him. I can't help but feel bad. My son is an innocent baby and has never done anything for his father not to want him.

The best thing you can do is focus on your son, not his father.

Lots of biological parents are not in their children's lives, and it stinks. But the only thing to be done is be the best mama you can be.

Guys are smurfs. There is nothing you can do but take him to court for custody and child support and just love that little baby as much as you possibly can.

I'm not a single parent, but I guess in a situation like that you would take it one day at a time and try to move on without the father.
Try to work things out as adults for child support and if he doesn't agree then take him to court.

It will hurt for a little bit because it is still fresh but you will get over that hurt.

I know how you feel. My baby is not even born yet and he wants nothing to do with her. It hurt me for awhile but I know my baby and I are better then that. Just focus on your baby and continue to be a good mom. It's his loss.

My son's father doesn't acknowledge our son, either - I don't think he even knows what state we live in and hasn't seen him since he was 3 months old. (He is now 3).

Honestly? If he doesn't want to be there, it's his loss and he will be the dumbass whose 50 years old, lonely, knowing he has a kid out there he doesn't know.....he's gonna feel like a complete douche. Just let it go and just keep moving forward, you don't have space in your life for people who don't want to be there.
