posted 27th Aug '12
can someone break it down for me or link me to a site.
I am just interested in how parent's blood type affects the child's type.

What can 2 o's produce?

If the parents are two different blood types the child may be either if they are the same the child cannot be any other type. I believe the only exception is if one parent is A and the other is B the child may be AB. But otherwise the child will be one or the other. The positive and negative varies by individual.

Sarah-that would be if the mother is Rh- and the unborn baby is Rh+. Since the mother is negative and the baby positive, the mothers body attacks the baby because it doesnt know what it is. If the mother is positive though, she has no worries, even if the baby is negative. I dont know the whys though lol

As a negative blooded person we have no protein in our blood. Because our blood has no protein it attacks to positive blood to get the protein out of the body.

If the mother is RH- and the father is+ she needs rhogam shots because the baby could be positive. It would only cause someone to lose their baby if they didn't get the shots with previous pregnancies, miscarriages or an abortion.
