My friend needs HELP!!!! FAST FAST FAST!!!!!

Okay here this deal. Basically, my friend BD has taken their daughter and refuse to return her due to the fact he dont want to pay child support. She haven't heard anything bout her daughters safety or anything in 17 days and counting. He's in the birth certificate so nothing police can do bought it. As of now her only solution is to save 1500 dollars for an attorney. But my question is is there anyway she could at least get visitation until custody is reached.

doesnt the father still have to pay? just because you have the kid with you doesnt mean you dont pay. just like with joint custody, the father stil has to pay even with half of his time spent.

Unless there is custody established. Either parent can't keep the child and refuse to return them. At least that's how it works in pa.

I don't understand.. if he's on the birth certificate its alright for him to kidnap your friends daughter? Which is what he's basically doing.. Smurf that smurf, I'm not even joking I would be busting down the door to get my child back. Do they not have any custody agreements?

Not sure if this Will help or not but she can go to juvenile court and file for emergency custody. Not sure if that works for parental custody but my mom had to do it for my nephew. Can she get in with an attorney for a free consult?

Yea that's what we know I'm saying is there a way she can get visitation until something is reached with custody.

Is there no one around there that would help her for free? At least start to get everything started? Around here, there are a BUNCH of places that do that stuff for free. I'd have her look into that!

Also: Does he work or anything? If he does, have her go grab them from who ever is watching them. She's their Mom, they can't refuse her.

Here, if you don't have previous custody agreements, then which ever parent has them has the right to keep them as long as they want and don't have to give them back. It's like that in a lot of places.

Idk but its definitely worth a try. She lost without her baby girl. Idk if she's tried the free consult or not but I would also mention that as well.

men are so stupid, even though they take the child they STILL need to pay!

Have her call the juvenile court there and explain the situation and ask if she can file for emergency custody. That Will bring the matter before the judge rather quickly.

As of now I don't think he's employed. However, she have no idea where he's at with her. His sister and family members aren't helping they just think she's over reacting.

I will have her call or go by early in the morning. Do you know whether or not she need documents with her or anything.

I would just in case. I would also have her write down overtime she tries to contact and when she seen the BD last etc. Like I said not sure if it Will help but it is worth a try. We had a custody battle after my brother died.
