Coming home soon!

posted 26th Aug
My twin boys that were born at 32 weeks are just over a month old!
They are both at 4 pounds, no feeding tubes and eating everything by bottle, keeping their temps up in the bassinets, and even holding their heads up a little bit  .
The doctor says that we could probably take them home sometime next week at the earliest! We're all so excited, but it feels so soon... I guess I'll be ready whether I like it or not, lol.

Congrats that's the best feeling in the world to be able to take your little ones home and have some much needed one on one without all the NICU stuff

Yeah, my BF said he can't wait to have cordless babies, lol.

Lol I never thought of it that way but they do get in the way and make things a tad difficult when it comes to dressing/undressing, changing, and cuddling. My son was in the NICU for one month and the day they said he would be going home was one of the most exciting but nerve racking days of my life. I loved that day.

I expected them to be in the NICU for longer, but after only just over 2 weeks, they were moved to the Convalescent Newborn unit! It shocks me how quickly this is going, but my only other experience was my cousin, who had a 24-weeker, so he was in for what seemed like a looong time.
