Hot Spot Stabbing pain after c-section??

posted 19th May
I had a c-section May 1st, and my doctor said that all the dissovable stitches should be gone in two weeks, well it's almost been three weeks, and on my right side, I have a horrible burning stabbing pain on my right side! Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it last?

I also notice my pubic bone hurts too, unless I have a pillow inbetween my knees during the night, what's this? Why is it hurting?

I had a c-section too. There are times where I still get random pains that go right through my scar (although I had staples on the outside). I don't know why. It will die down after a while....took mine around 5 months give or take.

Also, same thing with the pelvic bone. Your body was shifting and preparing itself for a natural birth, so it'll take some time for that to heal up too. Once again, for the most part, my pain is gone. Some times it'll come back if I sleep on my stomache.

Around 6 months (give or take), you will feel more like your old self.....as much as you can for just having a child. LOL

I don't know what causes these pains, but after my section I had them too. Here I am almost 10 weeks pp and I still get them rarely.

I had these pains So bad I went to the ER for them! My doc told me that it was from the stitches and that some women have them fot up to 6 months. The worst of them went away after about 4 weeks, but at almost 3 months I still get that burning/stabbing pain if I move a certain way. Best thing is to take it as easy as you can with a newborn... My pains were the worst when I held the baby for feeding, I bot a boppy and it helped alot.

Thanks everyone  . I just googled it, and found a lot of scary stuff, like edemeniotris (sp?) and hernias... I am just freaking myself out. I know it's just been two weeks, and I need to give it time, because I am not running a fever or anything (sign of infection)... but I am just scared that once my kiddos come home from the NICU I won't be able to take care of them like I should be able to.
