Told my mom...

Well last night I told my mom that I was pregnant. She was so hurt cuz I told Nics family first and all my friends.She was the last one to know.Im going to the doctor's today.

Wow. Is she any better this morning?

Well thats messed up ov her. Hopefully she'll get over it and hopefully everythings fine, but I think I'd get away from her for a while if I were you. Did the police do anything other then take you home?

They told me that I have to listen to her and that I cant leave without her permission. Which sucks.

Noticing you're in MD and hearing that the police said that doesn't surprise me. If shes being like that and not getting any better, I think you do need to get away from her for a few days, just to let her calm down and let what you told her sink in a bit.

Wow, that's crazy that the police took you back home. Did they eventalk to your mom and give her or warning or w/e?

They talked to her and Told us not to talk last night that we could talk today. She is still sleeping, so I dont know how she will be. I dont think she will be any better. If I leave my mom said that she will call the police and and have them come looking for me.

Well, she will eventually just have to accept it. My mother was pretty bad throughout my entire pregnancy, but she got better everyday and she is still improving, but its a lot better now.

im pretty sure being pregnant underage automatically emancipates you. you might want to look into it in your state

It doesnt, in any state.

Maryland law says that if she is to move out and set up residence with the father of the child since shes over the age of 16 she will be emancipated. if shes living with her parents she is only emancipated in aspects regarding her pregnancy.

That is the same in every state, but you still have to go through the emancipation process. You arent techincally emancipated until you go to court, but moving out and getting your own place aids in getting emancipated.

It really sucks that they brought you back home into that situation expecially if you don't feel safe . I hope things are good at the doctors & your mom changes her mind about being so overly mad at you .

You have to go through the emancipation process, but it's easier once you're pregnant.
I think in some states, you don't need parental consent, only the judges.
