Ending Bad Relationships

How did you ladies get over your relationship? How were you able to move on and how long did it take to start feeling better? My kid asks for his dad all the time but he left us, did you guys ever experience this with your kids? What did you tell your kids? I dont know exactly what to tell my 4 year old son I dont want to say something mean about his dad but dont know exactly how to answer his question.

Awww hun things will get better I can only answer your first part since no kidsa were involved in my past relationship but it took me a year to get over my ex and really move on. Even after I moved on I still had some issues within myself I had to straighten out before my relaionship that I am in now became on track. As far as your children thats great that you are not saying anything bad about their father because thats between you and him and your kids don't need to hear that. I would just say something like daddy has his own house and mommy has her own and leave it at that until he gets older.

how long has daddy been gone....why did he leave....is he planning on keeping contact w/the kids?

Well he has been coming in and out of our lives for a while now, and I decided I just for myself cant take it anymore and am just going to let him stay gone im not asking him to come back and im trying really hard not to let him back when hes done having his fun, but I dont know how to explain this to my son.

I dont think he wants to see the kids nor does he care, he is on drugs and is choosing that over them we are always second in his life to that and I cant take it anymore. He has other children from when he was alot younger and from what I am now finding out the whole truth about it is that he just walked out on them one day and never came back either.

I'm sorry hun. It's good that you made the choice to have better for you and your kids. Not sure what you should tell your son......that would be so hard.
