I took my daughter when she was 9 months old, I would have done it sooner put didn't have the money. With my step-daughter, she asked when she was 7 but we told her she had to wait a few years til she could take care of them herself. We got them done at 10 years old and she was not able to take care of them herself so I've been doing it. They keep getting infected I think because she keeps touching them. With my daughter, doing them at 9 months was so much easier because although I had to clean them for her, she forgot all about them and wouldn't touch them.
