lol, yeah it's safe. Well, I know for sure hip carriers are, not sure how secure other carriers would be since it's just a sling and you can't adjust it the way you can ring slings.

Yeah I meant his arms. He hated to be swaddled too. I know it's not recommended because of over stimulation and circulation. His legs are frogged, not dangling, and I would never wear him front facing out it public or for more that 10 min.

Should his arms rest under the straps? My husband did that and Ezra screamed when I asked him to tuck his arms in.
