IUD Birth Control Question

I had the IUD before, everything was great with it except I kept getting yeast infections and had to get it removed because of it.   I had the depo shots after I had my son, I gained 50lbs because of it. I would not recommend the shots.

My complaint is: I got preg with iud in place...

I wish we would have used condoms with it, my dr wasn't even surprised he said in 5 months he had deliverd 6 babies with iud inside... so that made me feel less stupid   goodluck!!!

I never had problems. But you can also take the mini pill (low hormone) if you don't want to do anything invasive. And I personally would never do depo shots.

THIS! I just had a baby in June and had an IUD in place. I'll show you a picture if you want. It was delivered with my placenta. It's pretty graphic, but I just HAD to take it for proof. lol.

I lost weight with the shots but I bleed the entire time it was the same way with my sisters so maybe it is just us but I hated it so I went off of it and just used condoms because I didn't like bleeding all the time and I didn't want the IUD and i was breast feeding

Also this! I took depo shots for 6 months and bled every day...finally stopped the shots.

I'm BF'ing when I have this baby also and I am getting the Implanon (the rod in your arm) It lasts 3 years and Mirena didn't work the first time I was on it so it wasn't an option and I forget to take pills (I bled for the entire 10 months I was on it :/ )

Yeah it came out after placenta... I wanted to see it but I was bleeding real bad, so dr was like throwing smurf around lol my husband saw it... he said he's going to write a scathing letter to mirena about helping pay Maks tuition lol...

lol. My OB would make jokes that LO would be delivered with it in hand. Like, "Look Ma, thanks for the toy!"   Good idea about the letter. I now have 4 kids bcuz Mirena sucks!

Dang ladies. Maybe I didnt have probs with my more a cause I'm not very fertile?! That was my biggest fear with it. I'm glad I don't experience that   sorry ladies.

Yeah Maks was my 3rd baby... we wanted another 1 just not 2 years after our other baby... they are 21 months apart... sucks but oh well

I was done...or so I thought. My older kids are 9, 9, and 8. And now I have a 2 month old.

I'm very fertile   I've always had to use condoms or be on pill, but I'm such a crazy person I have mini attacks about missing pills it was soo stressfull I did that for 1 yr after I had jade, planned parenthood said the mirena would be best thing for me, more effective blah blah, couple months later I was preg...

i have had paraguard and the depo shot.......cant really decide which one sucked less. i had bad cramps/heavy AF & a m/c w/the paraguard.....w/the shot i gained 30lbs (no matter how little i ate or how much i exercised), got frequent migraines and didnt get a cycle back for a year after my last shot
