Is it easy to just sign over rights just because you don't want to pay child support?

Okay, the girlfriend he is with now, has a background history of demotic violence? and has put him in jail for the same reason..

Yeah, I personally wouldn't want my children around that. I'd do anything to avoid it, if it meant letting him terminate his rights.. I'd just get a second... or third job if I had to.

It was easy for us. After we broke up he wanted nothing to do with us (and honestly barely wanted anything to do with Annie when we were together.) We made an appointment with child support, and because he had not financially supported my daughter for more than six months it was as simple as signing a piece of paper. There's a statute in Florida that allows for termination of parental rights if the offending parent fails to provide financial support to the custodial parent.

So he hasn't helped her with anything, She has tried to get him to want something do with Landen(which is her unborn son) and he ignores her and everything, Personally I think he doesn't care and doesn't want nothing to do with Landen because that means having to deal with her. Her mother has been the one to buy her unborn son everything he needed because she got fired from one job and no one will hire her because of her being pregnant. But I just think that if you help make a child then you should have to help take care of the child...

He can try and sign over his rights, but they can still make him pay.
