Milk/dairy, like anything with cheese...& depending on how sensitive your LO is, anything that contains even the slightest bit of dairy could cause issues; with my DD it was like that, so you might have to read labels carefully.

Also, soy is another common food that can cause issues with spitting up. It's in a lot of packaged, processed & premade foods, so again, read labels.

OK ladies!! Thank you so much. I appreciate all three advice! She's doing better.so it must have been something I ate. I'm going to pay more attention to things I eat.

Different topic, but our thrush seems to have cleared...at least for now. How long should I give it before I assume we're "in the clear" so-to-speak? I know it's an immune system balance so technically we can get it again at any point. But how long should I give it before I start pumping & saving milk again without having to seriously worry about contamination & getting it again? I've read online to continue treatment for 2 extra weeks after symptoms have cleared just to be safe, so I'm assuming 2 weeks? I'm not in a huge hurry to pump since he's still not tried a bottle, but I'd like to eventually start saving BM for if I ever go grocery shopping, to doctor, etc. & I run late getting home, so DH has a way to feed him & he still get BM.

Quoting lolajessup:" youre not making any sense, before you said you were using nothing, maybe condoms. "

I just mean that I will probably just use condoms or maybe birth control pills, but I'm not sure yet.

No way. We will use condoms, or I'll get on birth control pills.

Glad you got to try, but sorry it didn't work out. At least you have your beautiful baby, which i know makes it all worth it. Having my daughter here, has helped me with my recovery a lot.

I'm trying really hard not to give up but it's been over 3 weeks EBF and we're still struggling with latching. My nipples are still raw, cracked, and bleeding. I've decided to pump and give him bottles of my expressed milk. I feel like a failure. I dred breastfeeding him because my nipples hurt so bad. I've talked to 3 different lactation consultants, DS's pediatrician (and a few nurses at the office that are close friends of the family), my SIL that EBF. They all have tried helping him latch. We've spent hours working on it and it's just not working. I gave in with the bottles. I knew I shouldn't have. Now that it's been a few days pumping, I've noticed a decrease in my supply. My nipples have halfway healed so all night and this morning I've been trying to get him back on the boob. He absolutely does not want to latch. He prefers a bottle now. I've ordered fenugreek and mother's milk tea to boost my supply while we still try to establish a latch. I'm going to be trying every day with him but he prefers the bottle. I feel like a complete failure. Especially since my supply has decreased from pumping and he won't latch. I'm having a hard time keeping up with feedings. I hope the fenugreek works or I can get him to nurse again.
