I'm so frustrated and scared. I have huge nipples and Ashlin being only six pounds has a small mouth so she has trouble latching. To top it off she's jaundiced and the hospital said she needs to eat every two hours but she won't. Sometimes she won't eat for 3-5 hours. Is that normal or should be worried?

I'm sorry   I had this exact problem. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. Jaces bilirubin levels would barely go down abd the pedi said its because there was still maconium in his little body sbd that's wgat produces bilirubin. She suggested I supplement with formula until his system clears and my milk comes in more (I was barely producing, no milk=no poops). Sadly the little bugger wouldn't take boobies after about 3 bottles and pumping hurts so bad. It still breaks my heart because I wanted to Breastfeed so bad. I'm just happy he's doing well now though, and thankfully no issues with formula.

Hello ladies! Hope all the new mamas are doing well. Had my doc appointment yesterday, nothing is going on which is exactly what the doc wants  My c-section is 6 days away and getting nervous that i will finally be meeting my little girl soon. On another note, today is my birthday! Can't believe i am 31  I feel so old. Wish i could party with my family and drink. Oh well, hubby is taking me to dinner, and my kids want to take me out to ice cream for dessert. Should be a lovely day with the ones i love. Everyone have a good weekend and i will update if anything should happen before the 22nd.

Have you tried adjusting the suction on your pump? Sometimes I have to put ice or lanolin on before pumping. I have one nipple that always hurts and it helps.

I want to punch DH in the face! He is just clueless sometimes. He helps with the kids and around the house, but everything is my responsibility, and he has no idea how stressful things can be sometimes. It's not even anything serious, but I feel really overwhelmed with trying to pack for our trip. All he has to do is pack his own things, and he can't even manage to do that without forgetting smurf! I have to pack for 2 kids now, myself and make sure all the extra things we need are packed, make sure the animals are taken care and he just looks at me like I am crazy when I get stressed. GAH!

How come it comes down to the VBAC hopefuls to be the last ones preggo   at least I have till the end of the month. RCS scheduled for 2/28 at 3:00pm... Boo!!!

I know. Trust me, i feel your pain. I hope you get to have the vbac delivery you wanted. Looks like my baby isn't coming until her c-section date. Still praying for a miracle though.

Aww, thank you. Every bit of encouragement helps  Especially since my doctor is being so discouraging!

That makes me sad! I understand not wanting to give you false hope, but being supportive of your wishes wouldn't hurt!

I know. I told her I wished she would at least let me go to my due date if not a week over. I told her i wanted to give the baby a chance to come. She was like, she isn't coming, i don't want you laboring on that scar, that's final. I just wished see would be more sympathetic instead of dismissing how i feel.

What happens if you just call and re-schedule your C-Section that morning or the night before?

She only schedules surgeries on Tuesday and Friday morning and she is booked weeks in advance. So I'm taking a chance of becoming severly overdue which could be dangerous with me having two c-sections and two hernia surgeries under my belt. I believe she scheduled me at 39 weeks because she didn't even want me attempting to go into labor.
