Checkups went good today! Willow weighs right around 11 pounds and is "just perfect" Dr said my bleeding is normal and theres nothing to worry about. He said my incision looks amazing.

Laura you were asking about the hard spots, he said it's normal and to be expected. He suggested getting vitamin e tabs to rub on it.

The BEST part of the checkup.....I can take baths!!!!

Yes. I was 5cm and contracting every 6 minutes. Can't believe I actually went into labor!

Alright now that I have time. Sunday night I went in to L&D because I thought my water had broke. Turns out it didn't but I had SUPER high bp (176/101) they did a few tests and found blood and protein in my urine so they decided to keep me all night and keep an eye on me. At 1 am Monday morning lab came in and did another blood and urine test. At that time I was done with being in the hospital so I talked to the nurse about the possibility of me getting out at 1 after my labs came back and she said maybe.

Well my labs came back slightly more elevated so the on call doctor made the decision to induce me. I was pretty horrified to say the least. They got everything ready and started pitocin at 3. At 9am my doctor came in and broke my water I was at 4cm. I immediately started having hard and fast contractions. By 11 I was sitting at 7 cm and decided at that point to get some staydol. By noon I felt the need to push so the nurse checked me and told me to push. After 30 mins of pushing another nurse came in and said I was only 8.5, I was pissed to say the least.

At that point my contractions were only a minute apart and so hard, I was exhausted and decided on an epidural. About 4 the nurse checked me and no progress. The doctor came in at 5 and told me I would have to have a c section. I was so crushed. Apparently since I had been pushing at what the first nurse thought to be fully dilated, the baby's head pushed on my cervix and irritated it causing it to swell. I went in for my surgery at 6:30 and Ashlin Tyler Averett was born Feb. 11th at 6:49 pm weighing 6 lbs 8.3 oz and 19 in long. It was a really horrible day but it ended with my beautiful healthy baby. We're still at the hospital because Ashlin developed a little bit of jaundice and she was having a hard time feeding but tomorrow when I get home I'll post pictures.

Not too bad. I'm up and moving and my incision is looking great

Lylians just always acting out, regardless of baby. I can't stand her at the moment. All we do is fight. I feel like she thinks I hate her.
