Well I definitely forgot how bad it feels to have engorged ta-tas. Good thing I've got boob monster!

Mommas with jaundice and/or BF babies, did/do you have a hard time waking baby up to eat? If I don't wake up William, he will go 4+ hours without nursing. Also, any good tips and tricks to keep him awake and latched while nursing? In order to fully wake him, I have to completely strip him down, do a diaper change, and just move him around in different positions... sometimes that doesn't even work. I am EBF (no pumping or binkies) and I'm having a hard time keeping him awake and latched most of the time. He passes out within a few sucks.

I massage her jaw at the back underneath. That stimulates sucking. The LC at the nicu taught me that cause she had to eat in a half hr.

Thank you! I'm going to try it. It's been stressful the whole waking up process. Once he has a good latch, he's good but then he starts dozi ng off! Practice makes perfect I guess. Maybe when he is no longer jaundice, it'll be easier for us.

Ivy had a touch of jaundice but she was easy to wake. I rub her cheek to get her sucking.

The other night I mentioned I felt like I was getting sick, well I think I figured out the problem. Tonight I was laying down with our 3 year old and noticed that I could feel my heart beat, which felt slower than usual so I counted my beats per minute. It was 48 beats per minute! I've never had that slow of a heart rate, so I start trying to figure out why. First I grab my pain meds they have me on & look them up, both have side effects listed that could cause what I'm having. So I dumped what was left in the toilet & flushed them. Hopefully everything is fine and I'm feeling better by morning, if not I'm headed straight to the doctor because with the way this has me feeling it certainly is nothing to play around with; don't even know how to describe it, but I'm afraid to sleep & keep having to walk around just to get my heart rate up. Also, my temperature is low, 96.6...not sure whats going on but i feel paranoid like maybe I'm worrying too much?
