39 week check up yesterday... was awful of course the drchecked me im 3 cm dialated and of course after that all day i was contracting non stop...so later that day i went to labor & delivery i was 4 cm dialated but they said was still thick...couldnt be induced due to 4 other women was already being induced...so now im stuck at home...with pain...and dont go bk to dr till tuesday....i pray maybe she will come this weekend....:-(

Hang in there. I am 39 weeks due on the 14th too. But don't have my 39 week appt until Monday. Very very sore and tons of pressure. Only get contractions mostly after I am checked though. Ugh. I so don't want another csection. Come on labor start already!

Lol my appointment is Monday too. I've been having irregular contractions for about 48 hours though and I woke up this morning with excruciating back pain. Monday she's going to strip me and I'm thinking not long after that. I'll kinda miss being pregnant and having baby girl all to myself though.

I will miss that too but they will schedule me a repeat csection if she isn't born by my due date. That's the only reason I am wanting her to hurry up!

thanks everyone was at hp for 6 hours amd they had me walking still no change in my cervix i feel awful can barely walk,,,my dr isnt on call this weekend so the nurses was told to do by dr on call...i feel like they giving me the run around i dont go back to the dr till tuesday...i pray my water breaks tonight or in the a.m. i hate feeling like...this its hard hanging on when u can do is lay around.in pain...

What hospital are you going to deliver at? my cousin had her baby at the baby place (or something like that) and they gave her the same run around!

Ladies who have had csections is your scar hard? I'm afraid I effed mine up   its so freaking hard. There's a huge lump worse at one side. I'm

Mine isn't hard but it was in the beginning. If you are worried though call dr on Monday.

It will for quite a while. Make sure you don't overtax yourself. Don't do too much too fast. It will make the recovery much longer and harder.

Breastfeeding mommies.. does your LO have any sort of schedule? How many times are they up to eat? Jace wants the boob literally ALL NIGHT LONG. I just don't know what to do. Is this even normal? With recovering from the csection, laying in bed is rough, let alone breastfeeding him too. But then I feel like I'm starving him.   At the moment I have him in his swing, that has lasted maybe 15 minutes and he's rooting and sucking his hands again getting fussy.. I feel like a failure.

It's pretty normal until your milk comes in, especially if you're exclusively BF. Mikey has been doing same thing & my nipples are all kinds of sore, cracked, etc. If they get really bad you might try pumping occasionally to give them a break from baby. Also, sometimes they just want to suck for comfort, so a pacifier might help too. We didn't plan on using a pacifier & preferred not to, but with how bad my nipples have gotten I don't really have a choice.

Off topic, but still BF related so i dont have to make a separate post:

So far Mikey hasn't had a bottle & I haven't pumped at all until earlier today because of engorgement. My breasts became so full that he couldn't even latch, so I didn't have a choice but to pump some. My milk came in 2-4 days after delivery this time...I say 2-4 because he was getting plenty of gulps, etc. Thursday night (2 days) but I didn't bother pumping to make sure it was milk until today (4 days). Last time took a week and I had low supply issues, then again I had a lactation consultant who told me it would be ok to supplement with formula every few feedings until milk came in, etc. & I think that played a huge part. I'm still so shocked it came in so soon this time!

I feel like I'm coming down with something. Actually I'm worried my family might be   I woke feeling really weak & tired, so first I thought I was really tired from less sleep, etc. but then I felt really hot. I checked my temperature & I don't have a fever, but my stomach hurts & I just feel like crap over all. DH woke with pretty much same issues & baby has been having a hard time latching & feeding & has been more tired than he was the first few days, but he also doesn't have a fever. If its anything it's in the early stages and feels like some kind of virus, sure hope it's not the flu!
