It also depends on when u take it. Like now baby is a baby. You're not gonna cause malformations since everything is formed. But early on like first trimester is when a lot of malformations occur since everything is still forming.

Yeah it's not like tums where u just take it as a rescue.

There's two types of acid meds. A neutralizer and a reducer. A neutralizer would be tums because u take it to fight the already present acid. A reducer is like a preventative measure to keep it at bay, such as Zantac.

I took Flonase throughout my first pregnancy & I've always wondered if it had anything to do with her horrible reflux/colic she had...& you mentioning this makes me wonder even more since I took it before the pregnancy (while TTC) & pretty much daily throughout entire pregnancy. I'm going to look more into it now!

Yeah, that makes sense! I've had issues with acid reflux my whole life, but no doctor figured out what it was until like 2 years ago! They always gave me stuff for nausea because the only way I knew how to describe it was that I felt like I was going to throw up...like the throw up was on its way up but didn't make it out. I dunno how for years they didn't figure it out, multiple doctors too. Explains why the phenegan (spelling?) never helped! Lol

Sadly, yes! That's how we all know the end is nearing though, right?

Yes, that's why i try to take it with a grain of salt. I was just telling hubby, i can't sleep, i'm miserable, in pain, baby is kicking me all night, and i just want her here. But then i thought, once she gets here, i still won't sleep because i'll be up every couple hours tending to her. So right now i can't win for losing. But, at least i would get to see her beautiful face which will make it all worth while!

That's how I feel about it. I just want to throw up. Unfortunately I get the worst contractions when I do.
