that made me really sad just reading that. like wtf.. why do people become nurses if they aren't compassionate, loving, caring, etc. There was no reason for her to have an outburst like that.. especially over something so minor. Even if she is having a bad day, that's not an excuse   *hugs* hope your day goes better.

Lord, they should make it a requirement, like make them take a special test to make sure the people they give nursing degrees to aren't bitchy little creeps. The nurses at the hospital I recently went to were snotty, too.

i hated my nurse that was there when i delivered my first. when i got there, the one i had was awesome and didn't give a smurf.. but shift changed before i had him and i had some stupid, fat bitch with a lazy eye.

Thanks ladies. Luckily the manager is a doll and helped me immediately. She is so sweet and doesn't put up with anything less than exceptional care. I said "don't get me wrong, I was snippy" and she goes "you can be snippy all you want"   haha

That's good that the manager cared about your feelings and tried to make it right with you. She sounds like a respectable lady.

My new nurse came in and said "don't worry, I already had my morning cry too. My son was being hard this morning then a nurse gave me a ton of attitude when i got here. So well get through this together!!" haha

I'm so sorry you got stuck with a crummy nurse this morning. You didn't do anything wrong, you asked a harmless question that could have been easily answered or had a doctor come answer for you. She was the one out of line, way out of line and unprofessional in fact. Someone like that should not be a nurse in my opinion.

The manager just came back in to check on me. I told her its not your fault. She said "I'f you're not getting extraordinary care that is my fault".

Is it like a common thing or something? When I was having DD at the hospital I only had 1 decent nurse while I checked in, one awesome nurse who basically did all the work during labor and delivery until the doctor walked in for the last 3 contractions/pushes and caught her. Then one nurse who was good at getting my pain meds to me on time during her shift, every other nurse sucked balls, were hours late with pain meds (which I've got a high pain tolerance & it probably wouldn't have mattered much to me if I hadn't had an episiotomy & had to be stuck sitting on those damn hard delivery beds lol).

That's awesome! I hope that nurse gets some type of bad review or official complaint or whatever against her for that.
