Quoting A❤T=P+[It's a Girl:" apparently her wonderful doctor, whom she trusts, has convinced her that she is "too small"......  "

My doc says I'm too small all of the time. Then I remind her that I'm 5'2 and my husband is 5'4. I didn't weigh over 100lbs until I was 23. I'm still not big. The kid isn't going to be a giant.

I can't stand when Drs talk women into C-Sections because "the baby is to big" .. Drives me bonkers. I've had friends deliver babies over 9 lbs no drugs and I've had a friend who's son had shoulder displacia at under 8lbs you just don't know what your body is capable of until you try!

That and I love all the "risks" of a VBAC.. The chance of complications are higher in a routine C-Section then a VBAC! Why do people act like a C-Section is not a major abdominal surgery?

I guess because it's so common now. One of my friends told me that she asked for a C-Section because she didn't want to stretch her vagina. She was scared that it would be loose after pushing out a baby.

I thought she was doing it cause she wanted to make sure her boyfriend was there. If my doctor tried to tell me I needed a c-sec I'd tell her to stick that idea up her ass.

that was what she changed her story to, after people gave her smurf about not being to small. Either way is crazy that people would opt to put their body through something so smurfing horrible.

Hey ladies. So, I went into labor on Saturday, contractions 6 minutes apart, then 3 minutes when I got there; they stopped it. They were actually trying to slow it down, allegedly. They kept asking me if I wanted an epidural even though they had all but completely stopped my contractions. So, I'm sitting at home at 5.5 cm, 90% effaced, -1 station. Needless to say I'm very uncomfortable, lol. Is it February yet?

They let you go home at 5.5cm?? Here they admit you at 5cm. I hope you're doing well and staying off of your feet.

Right? That's what I was thinking. I'm angry they stopped me, actually. I was laboring great. If I had been less dilated, I wouldn't care. But, being this open and having to be home taking care of children isn't ideal at all.

Not at all. I'd be freaked! When I was in labor with DS, I went from 3cm to 10cm in 15 minutes. I was still at the hospital waiting for discharge papers. That's my one fear this PG..that I won't make it in time.

Thankfully, they gave me my medical records so I could go to a different hospital (a closer one) when I go into labor again. I feel you, though, I'm pretty worried how quickly I'll progress the next time I go into labor since I'm already so far.

I'm glad they were able to stop labor so baby isn't born as early, but I'd be freaked out at being that dilated and progressed, WTH!?! And having to be home taking care of your other kids through it, that sounds a bit much! You're a week behind me, so 35 weeks & 4 days on Saturday, right? I guess when I think of it that way I understand, I just can't imagine going through that!
